GM Obsolete Policies

Damaged or Defective Parts: every effort has been made to ensure that your parts are complete and in working order. However, if you have received damaged or defective parts, CALL US IMMEDIATELY to approve replacement. Do not return parts without calling first! You must have verbal authorization and a return authorization number or your return will be refused.

About Refundable Core Deposits

Without core returns, many classic auto parts would not exist at all! Many classic auto parts are no longer available as new, and even the used inventory has all but disappeared. Some GM Obsolete parts are listed with a Refundable Core Deposit charge. GM Obsolete requires that a good, rebuildable core (the actual part that you are replacing in your order) be received by us within 30 days from receipt of your order. Upon receipt or your core, determination will be made as to whether or not the core is a good, rebuildable part. If so, you will be refunded your core deposit. If the core part is not capable of being rebuilt, your core charge will be forfeited.

Shortages: Please report shortages within 3 days of receipt of your order. Claims after 3 days will not be honored!

Returns: All sales are final. Parts are not returnable unless defective or damaged or a prior verbal authorization number has been given within 20 days of receipt of merchandise. A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all returned parts. No refunds on shipping and handling charges. All returns must be sufficiently packaged and insured, all core returns must be marked clearly with the word CORE on the top of the package.

Credit Card Orders: If you feel you have been incorrectly charged or there is a discrepancy on your statement, please call us first to resolve the problem! DO NOT CALL YOUR BANK, this will only create unnecessary paperwork and delays.

For your credit card security GM Obsolete requires that you enter the three-digit (MC/Visa/Discover) or four-digit (Amex) CCV(II) Code located on either the front or back of the actual credit card used to purchase your order:

The CVV(II) (Card Verification Value 2) number is used as an additional security measure by GM Obsolete. CVV(II) enables banks and credit card companies to run centralized checks.

On Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Cards it is a 3-digit number printed in the signature block on the rear of the credit/debit card.

On American Express cards, the CVV(II) number is a 4 digit number which can be found on the front of the card.

Please be aware that some cards do not carry a CVV(II) number. If this is your case please enter three zeroes (000) in the box when ordering.
