At GM Obsolete we make every effort to help your restoration project go as smoothly as possible. Our vast inventory of parts cars (over 1.2 Acres and forever growing) go as far back as the early 1950's and up to the mid 1980's. These cars, along with our many resources of new and reproduction parts, can keep your vintage Buick, Cadillac and Oldsmobile running and driving for years to come. Our vast inventory includes rebuilt brake master cylinders, water pumps, starters, generators, fuel pumps, motor and transmission mounts, relays and air conditioning parts. In addition, we offer stainless moulding repair and bumper replating services for the most discriminating collector along with our vast inventory of rust-free solid bumper cores. With over 30 years of experience in the parts and restoration field we can surely help and guide you in the right direction.
GM Obsolete founder and owner Jerry Hammer had been collecting as well as restoring vintage and collector GM automobles since the early 70's. He was in the family furniture business until 1986, when he formed California Collectible Cars & Parts, soon becoming one of the leading parts suppliers in the country. Shortly after he found himself in the restoration field specializing in Eldorado's and limited production convertibles. His cars have won numerous national first places, best of show, and AACA junior and senior awards. Many of his restorations have been featured in countless automotive enthusiast magazines worldwide. He currently holds the world's record for the highest priced 1959 Eldorado Biarritz ever sold at public auction (1988). In 1989 he sold California Collectible Cars & Parts and stopped restoring. After moving to Phoenix Arizona in 1995 he could no longer stay in retirement from the vintage car business, so he started GM Obsolete in 1998.
